Dr. Sandy Tanenbaum to Retire After 28 Years at the University
May 2, 2018We will miss Dr. Tanenbaum and wish her all the best. Learn more about what she is most looking forward to and what she will miss most about her time at OSU.
What is your proudest accomplishment at OSU?
I would say that my proudest accomplishment was reaching the rank of full professor. This entailed both the support of my CPH colleagues and the favorable judgment of my scholarship by some of the best health policy scholars in the field.
What will you miss most about OSU?
The thing I will miss most at OSU is without question the students. The opportunity to engage them in learning about the US health care system–and especially to get them thinking in new ways–has been a great joy.
What are you looking forward to most about retirement?
I am looking forward to finding out what life is like when work is optional. And there are two piles of books–fiction and non-fiction–on my living room hearth.
